So, many contractors for the lack of experience with older cooperative buildings use the small size fitting for all the apartments which is beneficial for the lower floor apartments, townhouses, or private homes but can’t be beneficial for the higher floor apartments.

A contractor must the knowledge of pipe fittings in the buildings. Otherwise, a tenant will be left permanently with the reduced water pressure which triggers complaints about the water pressure and makes the myth that higher floor apartments have poor water pressure.

It’s not age

Well if we talk about the poor water pressure issue, we mostly hear that it occurs in a tenant’s apartments because of the age of the building and people confuses low water volume from a fixture with poor water pressure but the volume of water coming through the fixtures may be impaired or limited with the reasons which are related to the age of the building.

The water which comes through the fixtures in an apartment on any floor either it’s low or high faces the consequences of low water pressure because of the rust which is buildup from the oxidation and corrosion of the original galvanized pipes which are found in many older buildings.
